Dr. Subash Thapa is a Senior Research Fellow at the Rural Health Research Institute, Charles Sturt University. With a PhD in Public Health and Epidemiology from the University of Leuven, he specializes in global health and social epidemiology, focusing on mental health and well-being among vulnerable populations. He has contributed to international research across Nepal, Belgium, the US, Denmark, Saudi Arabia, and Australia, with extensive fieldwork in rural and remote areas.

Dr. Thapa previously held academic and research roles at the University of Southern Denmark, where he led digital health projects in collaboration with King Saud University and taught global health policy. He currently leads studies on Adverse Childhood Experiences and mental health in rural Australia and Nepal and is part of the Odense Risk Research Group, investigating workplace violence and seafarer well-being.
